Kingdom of Sicily 1734-1816 Flag

The flag of the Kingdom of Sicily in force in the seventeenth saw a simplification over the original version of the flag in 1296. The white cloth crossed by four horizontal stripes alternately red and yellow, up and down two small black eagles. The flag lasted probably until 1800 - but no later than October 2, 1817 when the Sicilian flags were abolished - although for many years continued to appear on maps.
