Overseas France covers all French territories distant from the French state. There is also talk of overseas departments and regions and collectivities or overseas departments. These territories are different on different continents and located in America, Oceania, Indian Ocean and Antarctica and are subject to very different administrative and legal regimes. These territorial areas are distinguished in the territories: Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guyana, La Réunion, Mayotte, Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin, French Southern and Antarctic Lands, Wallis and Futuna, French Polynesia, New Caledonia and Clipperton.
