Neapolitan Republic Flag

The Neapolitan Republic flag of 1799 was proclaimed a republic in Naples January 23, 1799, with the approval and support of the commander of the French army. The Neapolitan Republic has existed for a few months in the wake of the First Italian Campaign of the troops of the French Republic, after the French Revolution. The flag is a tricolor consisting of blue, yellow and red, with the words "Neapolitan Republic 1799."
