Leporano Flag

Leporano is an holiday centre along the eastern lonian coast in the province of Taranto - Apulian. 

The city, known for the Muscettola Castle, the watchtower "Saturo" and the port of "Pirrone" has about 7,000 inhabitants. The precious and irreplaceable surroundings testify to very ancient civilizations such as the Greek and Roman.

The flag bears the coat of arms of the city: a shield with a blue background with a hare in the middle. The hare derives from the uncertain history according to which the city was born as a hare breeding at the time of the ancient Rome.
