San Gennaro Napoli Flag

The flag dedicated to San Gennaro, bishop and Christian martyr. San Gennaro is revered as a saint by the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church. While there are no contemporary sources on his life, later sources and legends say he died during the Great Persecution that ended with Diocletian's retreat in 305. San Gennaro is the patron saint of Naples, of blood donors and orphans . The celebration of the patron saint takes place every September 19th.
