Romagna Flag

Romagna has never been officially a Region. The Official Region is in fact Emilia-Romagna, a geographical area on the North of Italy consisting of two contiguous territories: the Romagna which includes the area bathed by the Adriatic coast and Emilia instead of the hinterland.The flag consists of two horizontal bands, in the middle of the emblem of Romagna: a rooster with a steel rod called "caveja". The Caveja is considered the main symbol of Romagna; the term comes from the peasant tradition, and indicates a steel rod.The rooster with Caveja can often be seen on fabrics and tablecloths, together with the typical drawings of the peasant civilization.

The draw has been realized by Alessandro Folghera, member of the Italian Vexillological Association CISV starting from the logo of the Romagna Football Club.
