The flag of Castile-La Mancha is the representative flag of the Spanish Autonomous Community of Castile-La Mancha. The symbol is recently created, its adoption was decided on 11 January 1980 in Albacete, choosing it among a group of 7 proposals. The flag is divided into two parts: on the left we find the symbol of the ancient kingdom of Castile, which included the current region, which is a castle with three towers on a crimson background. On the right there is a white square in memory of the Military Orders of Calatrava, Santiago and San Juan, whose militias conquered and then administered the mancibre lands whose official color was white. The flag is officially used from October 20, 1980.
