The flag of Bonaire has a large blue triangle in the lower right and a smaller yellow triangle in the upper left. E 'was adopted on 11 December 1981. The triangles are separated by a white stripe, in which there is a compass and a black six-pointed red star. The blue and yellow triangles represent the sea and sun, respectively, while the white strip of land is the sky. The colors red, white and blue show an allegiance to the Kingdom of Bonaire in the Netherlands. The compass represents the black population of Bonaire that comes from the four corners of mondo.La six-pointed red star represents the six villages of Bonaire - Antriol, Nikiboko, Nort Salina, Playa Rincon and Tera Kora. The vexillology Whitney Smith has contributed to the design of the flag. The day of the flag of Bonaire is September 6.
