The flag of Provence Alpes Cote Azur has yellow background. On the left (rod side) there are four red vertical bands of equal size at the same distance. On the right are a blue dolphin on a yellow background and a red eagle that overlooks three green hills resting on blue wavy lines that recall the sea. Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur is a region of southern France. It borders to the east with Italy, from which it is separated from the Alps. Within 10 km from the border with Italy encloses the small Principality of Monaco. To the north it borders the Auvergne-Rhône-Alps, to the west with the Languedoc-Roussillon from which it is separated from the Rhone, while to the south it is washed by the Mediterranean Sea.
