Guam

The Guam flag depicted the Guam crest on a red-edged blue background. The coat of arms depicts the bay of Agana and the red writing GUAM. The flag was adopted on 9 February 1948 and can only be officially displayed together with that of the United States. The Territory of Guam is an island in the western Pacific Ocean, the largest and most southern of the Marianne archipelago. It has the status of non incorporated territory of the United States of America. Its inhabitants are mostly chamorro, who populated it about 3 500 years ago. The capital is Hagåtña, formerly called Agaña (or San Ignacio de Agaña). Guam is on the UN list of non-autonomous territories.
