The flag of Lesotho adopted on January the 20th in 1987 and official flag till 2006. It's composed by three oblique bands: the white represents the peace, the blu the rain and the green the prosperity. These represent the national motto: khotso-pula-nala, i.e. "peace, rain and abundance. The coat of arms represents aa basotho shield with mallets and spears, a townsman defending peace.
