Ragusa Province Flag

The flag of the province of Ragusa is blue with the shield of the province of Ragusa in the middle. Sicani and Siculi were the first inhabitants of the region, between the eighteenth and eighth centuries BC   The Province of Ragusa is part of the autonomous region of Sicily, located in the south-east of the island. The flag of the Province is blue, with a golden circle in the center that collects the provincial coat of arms and with the inscription "Provincia Regionale di Ragusa". The coat of arms shows the provincial crown and under a Samnite shield with a low-flying eagle and a star above the head. In the background a silver and red checkered oblique band.
